Report from the May 2016 AGM

1. The meeting received the Chairman’s report for the calendar year 2015 and he emphasised the work which went on to prepare the Christmas Trees at Clyst St Mary and Roman Walk, the success of the Coffee Mornings each month, how good the website now is and the newsletters and finally the setting up of our Twitter account.

2. Our funds showed a surplus of over £4000 but the Treasurer reported that since then we have allocated £2000 to a Research project at the University Medical School and a further £500 to assist a project by SnackPak (the diabetes group for children).

3. Geoff stood down as Chairman but there were no nominations for a replacement so the new Committee will need to address this issue. Carole was re-elected as Secretary and Rosemary as Treasurer.  Similarly Irene Warman and Barbara Bligh were re-elected to the Committee.  There were 3 new people elected to the Committee, George Hood, Phil Hiscox and Viv Stacey.

4. The meeting ended with the Chairman thanking each member of the Committee individually for their sterling work over many years especially our longest standing member, Jean Duddridge.
