'HOPE' the Snackpack Rhino

'HOPE' the Snackpack Rhino

You may have noticed the large Rhino's that are currently roaming Exeter's streets. SnackPack (the Exeter group for children with diabetes) have been involved with the Great Big Rhino Schools and Community Programme. This gave them a wonderful opportunity to showcase their creativity through the design and production of an original rhino art piece.

The children on the SnackPack Junior Committee decided how to decorate the rhino and what to name it.

The decoration is made up of hundreds of fingerprints of the children and represents them having to prick their fingers each day to check their blood sugar levels NOT JUST ONCE BUT MANY TIMES EACH DAY FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.

Look out for 'HOPE' the Rhino next time you are in town. It is currently in a shop window in the Guildhall.
