Message from Diabetes UK south west team

Message from Diabetes UK south west team:

We know that the current coronavirus pandemic could be a stressful and worrying time for people  diabetes, and you may have questions and queries.

Please know that Diabetes UK is here to help. We have lots of information on our Coronavirus page which is regularly updated:

https://www.diabetes.org.uk/about_us/news/coronavirus

You can also phone our Helpline 0345 123 2399 or email helpline@diabetes.org.uk to get in touch with our trained advisors who can talk through general questions and give updated information regarding diabetes and COVID-19. All conversations are confidential.

There is also some advice for managing diabetes while staying at home, including top tips for staying active, shopping hacks and emotional well-being:  https://www.diabetes.org.uk/guide-to-diabetes/managing-your-diabetes/staying-home

There is also a conversation thread on our forum which you may find useful: https://cutt.ly/EtT4YOB

And of course, we would always advise that you check in with your local diabetes specialist team and follow all government guidelines.

And we’d love to hear from you and know how you are all getting on. If there is anything myself and Verity in the Diabetes UK South West volunteering team can do to help support you all over the next few weeks and months, please do let us know,

Best wishes to you all and we hope you stay safe and well, Gemma Jackson, Gemma.Jackson@diabetes.org.uk
